Parking Lot Carnival

So a few days ago I was out getting lost and happened across this scary looking parking lot carnival.  Between the run down strip mall, rusty carnival rides, and creepy carnies this place totally freaked me out!  It probably didn't help that the sky looked especially ominous because of the storm rolling in or the fact that I was listening to Moar Ghosts 'N' Stuff by Deadmou5... if you haven't heard it, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fx53ZZC8VEk listen to the very beginning of it while looking at the creepy parking lot carnival!

On the not so creepy side, this is one of our flower girl dresses for the wedding!  Sooooo cute!  Noelle and Ella will be wearing these matching dresses.

I had my first bridal shower this last Saturday with my mom's family. The picture is of me opening my gift from my mom, she got me the pearl necklace and earrings that I will be wearing at the wedding!

And last but not least, my niece Ella searching for easter eggs after brunch!

Dr Pepper Talent Search

Tonight was the Dr Pepper talent search and my soon-to-be sister-in-law WON!  She rocks! Megan isn't even 16 yet and she has written and recorded a bunch of songs already.  She plays piano, guitar and sings... makes me kind of hate her for being so talented, hahaha.  She sang one of the songs that she wrote tonight, its called Kayleigh's Song.  One of her friends, Kayleigh, passed away suddenly this year so she wrote this song in her memory.  Kayleigh's family came to watch tonight and everyone who knew her was tearing up as Megan sang. It was a great night and Megan will compete again next Thursday in the finale.

Furry Friends

I had a great day today!  Josh and I both had the day off today so we got to sleep in, relax, do some shopping, and just enjoy the day.   These are a couple of shots that Josh got this afternoon of our furry friends.  LOVE THEM!

Glass Twigs

Glass twigs :)  We had some crazy Michigan weather again yesterday.  In the morning it was nice and sunny, we had a blizzard by noon, and then thunderstorms in the evening! Gotta love the mitten!

Chasing the Moonlight

We had a gorgeous full moon tonight so I decided to go out and try to catch a few shots of it.  They didn't turn out how I was hoping/expecting but I thought these two still looked decent. :) If anyone has any tips on how I can photograph the moon as we see it instead of just a light dot, I would really appreciate the advice.

So excited!

I am so excited!  Thanks to my tax refund, I got to purchase myself a very nice camera that I have been lusting over. It is a glorious Canon EOS Rebel T2i and absolutely AMAZING!
If that wasn't exciting enough I had contacted an animal rescue about volunteering and tomorrow I get to work my first adoption event and take pictures of all the dogs. My pictures could be put online to help the dogs find forever home :) After the adoption event tomorrow I will be getting together with my dad and then tomorrow evening a bull dog named Winston will be coming to stay with us for about a week while his family is away on a wonderful cruse.
Next week is going to be a busy week at work because our manager Amy (winston's owner) will be gone but thankfully that will make the week go by fast because I can't wait for next weekend! Next week Saturday is my best friend Kaitlyn's first baby shower!! Hooray!! And then on Sunday I get to do my first dress fitting for my wedding dress!

These pictures are a couple of the first few that I took with my new camera.  Of course they are of my babies ;) but I'm sure there with be plenty more where they came from and hopefully with a little more variety!
